Experience & Credentials
First and foremost, I am a trained and licensed Registered Nurse, a status that can be publicly verified through Nursys.com. Simply type in my name, Anna Anderson, to confirm my credentials and licensure status. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Concordia University, graduating Cum Laude. My journey didn't stop there—I advanced to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse, accumulating 10,000+ hours of hands-on experience. This extensive experience qualified me to sit for the ANCC (American Nurses Credentialing Center) board exam, a rigorous exam that validates my expertise and competence in mental health nursing, earning me the title of Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse.
I have had the privilege of working with neurobehavioral and behavioral adolescents and children dealing with autism, ADHD, oppositional defiance disorder, self-harm history, suicide attempts, anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties. Additionally, I have significant experience working with adults and the elderly, addressing issues such as panic, anxiety, depression, and life changes. My experience also extends to individuals in crisis, SUD (substance use disorder) detox and recovery, including MAT (medication-assisted treatment) if you are currently taking.
Additionally, I completed a Nurse Coaching program. It’s worth noting that in the expansive world of coaching, Nurse Coaching stands out as the only type of coaching that is nationally recognized and regulated. While anyone can label themselves as a “coach” without any formal training or experience, as a Nurse Coach, I had to first establish my credentials as an experienced nurse and then complete specialized training and clinical hours.
Furthermore, I am currently pursuing a Master's degree as a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, with one year remaining until I become a licensed PMHNP. This qualification will empower me to diagnose, provide psychotherapy, and manage medications, offering comprehensive care to you and your family.
In all aspects of life, it’s wise to seek the best and most qualified professionals. If you're looking for expertise, experience, and a deep commitment to mental health care, you've come to the right place.
